I’m glad you’re here!
I am Adam Landau, MSW, a Licensed Social Worker at Third Eye Counseling in the Lakeview and Roscoe Village area of Chicago. I earned my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and offer individual therapy in person and via Telehealth.
I work with adults and teens navigating ADHD, autism, and trauma, as well as the anxiety and depression that often come alongside them. If you are neurodivergent or have experienced trauma, you are probably exhausted from constantly fighting with yourself. You might feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like your brain works differently than the world expects. Many of the people I work with have spent years masking, overexplaining, or quietly carrying things they were never given space to process.
My approach is grounded, strengths-based, and collaborative, built around who you actually are, not who you think you should be, shaped by your experiences, your nervous system, and your environment. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and somatic work, exploring the parts of you that feel stuck or hard to understand with curiosity rather than judgment. I work from the understanding that even the parts of yourself that feel most difficult are trying to help in some way.
In our work together, you do not have to mask. We explore what tools actually feel helpful for you, moving at your own pace, slowly untangling the noise and getting curious about your experiences. Therapy with me is a space to start discovering who you are underneath it all.
If you have spent a long time feeling like you are too much, not enough, or simply wired in a way the world does not quite accommodate, you are not alone in that. I offer a free 15 minute consultation and look forward to getting to know you.
I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship concerns, ADHD, and life transitions. Sessions are collaborative and paced to support reflection, understanding, and meaningful change.
Individual Therapy
I integrate mindfulness, meditation, somatic awareness, and creative approaches such as art and music into therapy when helpful. These practices can support emotional regulation, self connection, and building resilience in both mind and body.
